Father John C. Selner, S.S., (1904-1992) was the son of vaudevillian parents and attended Barber Hall at Nazareth College before entering the Sulpician Order. He taught homiletics and moral theology at the Catholic University of America and Saint Mary Seminary of Baltimore and was for a period of time the director of music at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC. He was an honored composer of church music and was a chaplain for the Sisters of St. Joseph at Font Bonne in Nazareth, MI.
